The Senior Engineer /Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplined team of engineers, drafters and maintainers to support facilities design projects, project management, and maintenance projects. The Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for planning, coordination, management of projects, providing technical leadership, while maintaining cost, schedule and performance objectives of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a multi-disciplined team to deliver DoD Facilities Design Projects through all delivery milestones from concept through to construction phases.
- Oversee schedule, cost and performance of the design projects.
- Oversee all scope, change proposals, reporting requirements and project coordination.
- Develop and implement company wide engineering processes that foster efficiency, quality, and standardization across disciplines.
- Inspire and maintain quality control.
- Collaborate with Customers, stakeholders, associate contractors and vendors to deliver timely, cost-effective designs and a construction document set.
- Lead development of bill of material that support sustainability and life cycle support objectives.
- Work with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes.
- Assures the design process meets all quality and compliance guidelines.
- Support for on-site integration support.
- Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engage in cost management strategies.
- Communicates technical information to non – technical stake holders.
Required Education:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (STEM) with 12 years’ experience. Master’s degree with 8 years’ experience
Required Experience:
- DoD Facilities Engineering experience and Professional Engineering (PE) License
- Minimum of 5+ years in engineering design expertise with design standards, detailed understanding of related codes/standards, e.g.; NAVFAC Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC),Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) and ICD 705.
- Minimum of 5+ years in engineering management expertise with leading multidiscipline engineering teams, leading large design efforts for DoD facilities.
- Project management of facilities design scope.
- Delivery comprehensive and complete design including basis of design, specifications and drafting from design concept to construction.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously.

Desired Experience:
- Overseas design experience desired.
- Experience with Specs Intact for specification development is highly desired.
- PMP certification.
- Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools a plus.
